For many, we commemorate the birth of our nation by gathering at parks and celebrating with fireworks and barbecues. At Broadway Gallery, we like to take a moment to celebrate this day by remembering one of the greatest freedoms we are afforded as Americans – the freedom of expression. Whether it’s diversity, freedom, liberty, or patriotism, each of our artists brings something unique to Broadway Gallery and this special holiday that unites us all.
Perhaps most importantly, it’s the unique talent that’s represented here at Broadway Gallery that makes this holiday so special for us. We represent a variety of artists with different backgrounds – from origami mixed media artists to classically trained oil painters, the artists at Broadway Gallery signify creativity from all walks of life. With that, we’d like to take a look at some of the ways Broadway Gallery artists have expressed their artistic freedoms through their original works of fine art on this Independence Day.
Scenes of Our Country’s Most Beautiful Landscapes
Many of our artists have the innate ability to capture the beauty of America’s landscapes through various mediums and techniques. Ken Strong, Christine Lashley, Bradley Stevens, and Richard McMurry are just a few who’ve done so – just take a look at some of their works pictured below![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1061″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/830306385/chesapeake-bay-foreshore-ken-strong-oil?ref=shop_home_active_6&frs=1″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3435″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/816398356/summer-day-original-oil-painting-on?ref=shop_home_active_3&frs=1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3435″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/832069701/first-fall-colors-original-oil-painting?ref=listing_published_alert”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1352″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/803631810/bradley-stevens-original-oil-painting?ref=shop_home_active_7&frs=1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Freedom to Celebrate Our Favorite Pastimes
Amber Favre and Richard McMurry have taken portraiture and landscapes to a new level through their own personal styles. Amber, an abstract impressionist painter creates dream-like pieces with the “hopes that visual images can have a positive impact on our well-being” — something she says, we can “all use a little bit more of in our hectic lives.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3308″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/826593579/original-oil-on-canvas-painting-new?ref=shop_home_active_5&frs=1″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2915″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/832080021/original-oil-on-canvas-painting-white?ref=listing_published_alert”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Richard McMurry is a classically trained oil painter who uses the illusion of distance in his harmonious paintings through many elements of design, such as line, color, texture, pattern, and shape. His compositions are complex, leading the viewer from the foreground of his landscapes to the distant horizons. McMurry believes that “dark colors bring out rich colors, especially with the use of oils,” something he clearly excels at.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2401″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/831928113/gold-bars-over-shenandoah-richard?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2402″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://www.etsy.com/listing/831946269/cobb-island-at-rest-richard-mcmurry?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Red, White and Blue on Display
Buck Nelligan’s abstract pieces are about as American as you can get with a vibrant red, white, and blue palette spattered throughout much of his work. These are joys to be cherished. From the Broadway Family and Staff, we wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
